What it means:

While any experienced yogi can take the Ganja Yoga Training as a personal development course or to facilitate their own form of Ganja Yoga, only Certified Ganja Yoga Teachers are listed on the Ganja Yoga Teachers Directory, use the Certified Ganja Yoga Teachers’ logo, and contribute to Ganja Yoga Online.

How to become certified:

  • After completing the Ganja Yoga Training, demonstrate mastery of the subject matter by successfully passing an online exam at over 80% or higher (Two chances, then mentorship to pass).

  • Abide by the Ganja Yoga Code of Conduct.

  • Teach a minimum of 10 hours of cannabis-enhanced yoga per year. (Can be in private settings).

  • Be a 200-hour yoga teacher in any lineage.

  • Pay the certification dues ($100/year, increasing in 2023).

  • Scholarships available for people with low income from marginalized groups.

After graduating the Ganja Yoga Training, participants will be emailed information on how to become certified Ganja Yoga Teachers.


You can do the Ganja Yoga Training as a non-teacher (“experienced yogi”), and then go get your 200-hour teaching certificate, to become a certified Ganja Yoga Teacher. (ie, reverse order).
