APHRODISIAC CANNABIS

Do You Like To Get Down When You Get High? (Asking For A Friend, Teehee..)

Cannabis Has Long Been Associated With Enhancing Sensuality And Sexuality.

While the use of cannabis for sexual purposes is not a new concept, there is a growing body of scientific research that supports the experience people are having, -  that cannabis can indeed enhance our sexual experiences.

This blog post will show how cannabis enhances sex, and how to maximize the plant’s potential to bring you bliss in the bedroom, whether partnered or flying solo.

Big-Time Sensuality

One of the primary ways in which cannabis can aid sensuality is by enhancing the senses. Cannabis is known to heighten sensory experiences, including taste, touch, and smell.

This can make sensory experiences such as cuddling or massages more pleasurable and intimate, and all the yummy fun stuff all the way down the line become even more yummy too!

Cannabis can slow-down foreplay, make-outs, non-goal-oriented pleasure journeys. It can help us reside in the eternal-now, instead of chasing for and rushing toward the Big O.

Reducing Barriers To Intimacy

Cannabis can help to reduce emotional inhibitions while increasing feelings of relaxation, well-being, and euphoria.

This can help individuals to be more present and in-tune with their bodies, allowing them to fully enjoy sensual experiences. We can be more vulnerable with our partners, perhaps courageously making more eye contact, or bravely stating our desires to deepen our sexual experience.

I love cannabis for sex especially because it gets me out of my head, especially a higher-CBD and indica strain. I especially love edibles, but I need to take them about an hour before date-night and remember not to over-consume or I won’t feel like getting it on.

Cannabis And Sexuality

Cannabis has been shown to increase sexual desire and arousal, and, when the strain and dose are ideal, the herb also helps to reduce anxiety and stress, both of which can be barriers to sexual desire and enjoyment.

When we’re less anxious and stressed, we’re more open to sexual experiences, able to fully enjoy them.

When our bodies and minds are relaxed, we can be more in-tune with our pleasure, our emotions, our  connection, and our turn-on.

Another potential benefit of cannabis for sexuality is increased sensitivity and pleasure in the genitals. By  increasing blood flow, cannabis enhances sensitivity in our erogenous zones.

This increased sensitivity can lead to more intense and pleasurable sexual experiences.

Finally, cannabis can also help to alleviate pain and discomfort, which are both common barriers to sexual enjoyment, especially for women.

Choosing The Right Cannabis Products

In my sex coaching practice, my clients often ask me how to choose cannabis strains, methods, and products for sex.

While cannabis has the potential to enhance sensuality and sexuality, all that yummy goodness depends on choosing the right products and dosages.

Different strains (terpene profiles) of cannabis can have different effects, and the level of THC and CBD in a product can also affect the experience, as well as the method of consumption.

As I’m sure you know, THC is the compound in cannabis that is responsible for the "high" associated with its use. While THC can have potential benefits for enhancing sensuality and sexuality, too much of this amazing molecule can cause negative side effects, such as anxiety or paranoia. CBD, on the other hand, is a non-psychoactive compound in cannabis that has potential benefits for reducing anxiety and inflammation, but won’t necessarily enhance sensation or the heart-opening intimacy. So, we like to incorporate both.

Many cannabis lubes have a mixture of THC and CBD for a more entourage effect, and I like to apply that to my yoni 30 minutes before playtime, and also eat a low-dose edible (a 5mg infused chocolate perhaps).

While the edible is kicking in, I might use CBD-infused massage to begin a foreplay ritual, or maybe roll a little joint, - savoring the process as a sensual act with my beloved, - sniffing various jars of bud, selecting one together, then passing the joint back and forth as we connect.

When It Comes To Products, Doses, Methods Of Consumption, We Each Have Our Preferences And Needs, So Experiment A Little.

And know that weed-fueled nooky doesn’t have to look athletic to be amazing. A cozy evening of spooning, grinding, or even slow-dancing with your lover is definitely enhanced with just a little ganja. Just stay present and enjoy, without expectation or putting too much pressure on yourselves.

Cannabis And Solo Sex

People who are new to using weed for sex should start with a low-dose, and develop a relationship to the plant while masturbating before venturing into stoned partner sex. Newbies should also start with low doses and gradually increase as needed.

Whether Partnered Or Solo, See If You Can Let Go Of Expectations For The High, And Allow Cannabis To Do Its Thing….

Surrender and float downstream, as they say in the psychedelic community.

Allow the plant to enhance the sensations you feel in your body, your emotions, your pleasure, your relaxation, your arousal.

And whenever you notice yourself inevitably zoning out, habitually worrying, or replaying old experiences in your mind, just come back to the present moment if you can.

… To conclude (because I know you have sexier things to do than read about sex!),

Cannabis has the potential to enhance sensuality and sexuality in a variety of ways.

From increasing sensory experience  and reducing inhibitions, to enhancing sexual desire and pleasure, cannabis can be a powerful tool for individuals looking to enhance their sexual experiences.

It’s definitely an aphrodisiac for those that find the right products for them. (And we haven’t even talked about the ways cannabis can make sex more spiritual!!). Maybe next blog!

Until Then, Have Fun Practicing Stoned-sex! Let Us Know How It Goes! ^^

APPRECIATE YOU!
