THE LOST ART OF RITUAL

As I sprinkle the rose petals down on my yoga mat and light some sage, I can start to feel myself shedding the distractions and cares that filled my head earlier. Improving the click rate of my newsletter melts as I turn on some sacred music, say a quick prayer of gratitude, and puff.

Hi Friend, - What’s Your Relationship With Ritual?

The use of ceremony has been lost in most of the modern world, even in most yoga studio environments.

It makes sense in a way, - for those of us who were forced to perform empty rituals as part of our religious upbringing, we can rightly be suspicious of ritual.

However, When Creating The Intention For A Spiritual Cannabis Experience, Or An Altered State Of Consciousness That Feels Meaningful, - We Can Remember That We Get To Define What Is Sacred.

As such, “ritual” is whatever you want it to be.

The Ganja Yoga ritual can be anything you want to do, - anything that feels right, and in-alignment with your intentions for the moment.

It doesn't have to be dramatic or fancy.

Sometimes it’s just a matter of clearing off the coffee table and lighting some incense before blazing, a pragmatic ritual.

Sometimes it might look like setting a sacred object at the top of your mat (more on sacred objects below). Or maybe you repeat a word that feels meaningful a few times as you gather your yoga supplies.

Perhaps your ritual is to invite a sense of gratitude and reverence for cannabis before you smoke. Or maybe your ritual is to light candles to create a sacred space different from your usual hangout space, and burn some incense that you only use for altered states.

Maybe you layer a few favorite rituals.

As You Make Up Your Own Little Ritual, Know That For Thousands Of Years, Many Gurus And Babas Have Been Ritualistically Using Cannabis For Yoga Practice, Like You Here.

You might evoke them, call in their wisdom and energy, or send a mental prayer of gratitude for them, and for the plant. And perhaps you send a blessing of thanks to the farmers who grew the sacrament (spiritual medicine) you’re enjoying.

Making Objects Sacred

Whenever you ascribe spiritual meaning to something, it becomes a sacred thing. You could place crystals and gemstones at the top of your mat if that speaks to you, or you can take any object that evokes a positive feeling like a photograph or pretty leaf. To imbue it with sacred feeling, hold it in your hand for a moment as you set your intention for the high or the yoga practice, using a sentence, phrase or word, and speaking it aloud or simply thinking it. By placing the object at the top of your yoga mat, you’ll remind yourself of your intention and be more likely to have the experience you desire.

Any spiritual, psychological, or physical goal you have for yourself is possibl, any intention you have it within your reach.

Rituals Can Remind Us Of This.

APPRECIATE YOU!
XO D.
